I might start using Blog It to post onto my WordPress and Tumblr blogs. It’s a Facebook app that you can use to post to multiple blogging platforms at the same time.

It’s my day off, I’m listening to Hillsong United Radio on Pandora, which hopefully will play more Hillsong and less Chris Tomlin.  In the Christian world, this is the equivalent of saying “I hope they play more NSync and less Backstreet Boys.  I think to be more cool I should be listening to Pedro the Lion or the Swell Season. But, whatever.

My days off (days of rest, Sabbaths, etc.) seem to be getting more difficult as the weeks of youth pastoring move on.  I’m just falling in love with youth ministry more and more every day.  On Wednesdays, I force myself to really rest (except for my afternoon jaunt, splitting wood with Adam) and I find myself impatiently tapping my foot waiting for Thursday to come so I can read Next Generation Leader and plan for high school ministry and work on Student Ministry Leadership Team stuff and get ready for the men’s workday at the youth center.

I’m really thankful though.  For a God that forces me to rest.  That forces me to trust.  The Creator makes us creative and industrious, but on that 7th day, in love, He says, “Son, you’ve been creating for 6 days.  And what you’ve created is good.  Now, rest.”

I think I’m going to get off of here now and maybe go do something nice with my beautiful wife.  Shabbat.  Shalom.
